Overview.

Our general surgery team is the surgical backbone of the hospital, covering hepatopancreatobiliary, colorectal, upper GI, endocrine and trauma surgery. Minimally invasive (laparoscopic) technique is the default wherever evidence supports it, with day-case discharge offered for many procedures. Complex cancer and HPB cases are reviewed in a weekly surgical MDT alongside oncology, radiology and pathology.
